Trace Adkins is getting special recognition by his home state. The country star has been inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Trace, who was born and raised in the Northwestern Louisiana town of Sarepta, was honored at his concert Saturday night in Baton Rouge.
Country Weekly says the singer received an award from Louisiana Hall's President Mike Shepherd that included an official statement signed by Louisiana's governor.
Adkins is spending this summer on the road. His next concert will be in his hometown. He'll be headlining Sarepta's Muddin' For The Military concert on July 5th. The special show supports Lone Star Warriors Outdoors, a charity that supports wounded veterans.
