Snacking doesn’t have to sink your weight loss efforts.
Here’s a rundown of some snack habits that will help you lose weight in a healthy way:
- Watch the Clock – Researchers found that people who snack in the mid-morning tend to snack more throughout the day than people who are able to wait until afternoon. So, do your best to resist reaching for a snack until after lunch.
- Bring on the Protein – Make sure your snack contains protein, which requires more energy to burn than carbs or fats … and keeps you fuller longer.
- Snack Left Handed – Eating with your left hand makes you think about what you're doing, and helps you eat less.
- Use Smaller Bowls – Never eat chips and other snacks from the bag. Instead, serve yourself a little portion in a little bowl and stop eating when that portion is gone. (ABC News)
