All of Garth Brooks concert dates at Croke Park in Dublin have been cancelled.

The promoter of the concerts issued a statement saying they've exhausted every avenue to try to save the shows. "We are very disappointed for the 400,000 fans who purchased tickets for the Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event."

The cancellation of the five shows has a far-reaching effect, not only for the Irish fans who have purchased tickets, but for fans who were coming to the shows from other countries.

Last week, the city council granted the promoter only three permits, forcing the cancellation of two shows. Garth issued a statement saying that he would do five shows or none at all, insisting that choosing which shows to do would be like choosing "one child over another." The shows were scheduled for July 25th through 29th.

The promoter is traveling to Oklahoma in a last-ditch effort to get Garth to reconsider. However, plans are under way to refund fans who have purchased tickets.
