It’s summertime, which means kids will be around the house much more with school out of session.

And, any parent will tell you that keeping them under control and happy is a huge challenge.

Well, according to a new survey, nearly 50 percent of parents try to get good behavior from their kids by bribing them.

The bribes are usually money, and parenting experts say the system can be a slippery slope.

In the short term, it works. A few bucks can buy a lot of peace and quiet in the moment.

But in the long term, it can be very destructive because kids learn – incorrectly – to expect money for everything they do. And, as any adult will tell you, that’s just not how things work. (CBS News)
