A cemetery in Cincinnati has removed two specially designed SpongeBob SquarePants tombstones from the grave of Sergeant Kimberly Walker.

Kimberly Walker was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend. Following her tragic death, her parents decided to pay tribute to her with a pair of 7,000-pound custom-made SpongeBob tombstones, featuring the cartoon character in uniform to honor Kimberly and her still-living twin sister Kara, who is in the navy.

Yet days after the monuments were installed, officials at Spring Grove
Cemetery changed their mind, saying in a statement that although they were designed "with the guidance of a Spring Grove employee" they "did not fit within Spring Grove Cemetery guidelines."

While  the cemetery says they're working with the Walker family to "design a solution" at the cemetery's expense, the Walker family just wants SpongeBob back at Kimberly's gravesite.
