Here's my story...I'll post updates below.
So, in my almost 7 years here at MZQ, my weight has really fluctuated. A few years ago, I hit 180 pounds. And I'll never forget, after I appeared in a local tv news segment, how someone commented on "how fat I'd gotten". I was able to slim down from that all-time high weight...and then 2 Summers ago, I got all the way down to around 140. I was SOOOO close to meeting my goal...and then, well...I met my now-husband...he's a great cook, I discovered how much I like trying new recipes...Winter came...I got lazy, quit working out...and from the day we got married last Fall to last week...I had packed on 15 pounds, to put me at 170...only 10 pounds and one jeans size away from my heaviest. So, I decided it was finally time to do something about it. I spent all last Summer unhappy with how I looked in my swimsuit...and I said, not again this year. I joined a new gym to help motivate me...and I went into My Weight Doctor to try their program. You meet with a real doctor who analyzes how your body works, and then he custom-designs a supplement and meal plan just for you. I take two pills a day, and go in once a week for an injection and a weigh-in. I started the program this past Friday and lost 3 pounds over the weekend! I feel better than I have in a long time...physically AND mentally. I'm hoping to lose 20 pounds total by MZQFest...and 35 eventually. I have pair of size 7 jeans that I am determined to get into...today, I wear a 14. I'm now down 7 pounds in 2 weeks...I lost 5 alone in the first week on the My Weight Doctor program. Feelin' great!

I've lost 13 pounds in a month...and a whole jeans size! Really hoping for 20 off by MZQFest in just over 3 weeks
UPDATE - 7/12
I haven't updated in awhile - sorry about that. Let's see...I did meet my goal of losing 20 pounds by the Fest - that felt awesome! To be honest, for the last month or so, I have been pretty much stuck at the same weight. I've hit a plateau...which both my doctor at My Weight Doctor and my trainer at the gym say is completely normal. Once your body gets used to the same foods and level/type of exercise over a period of time, it can happen. So, for the past few weeks, I've been doing extra cardio at the gym...and while the scale isn't changing, I can tell I'm building muscle and toning up - and muscle does weigh a bit more than fat...plus, my body fat percentage has gone down...AND, I'm now able to get into my size 10 jeans. So, I'm definitely losing weight, even if the numbers on the scale don't quite reflect it in the typical sense. My new goal is to be at 140 by the time we leave for Texas on September 27th for my stepdaughter's wedding. I'm gonna keep at it!
