As Garth Brooks prepares to launch a new phase of his career, he's helping to bring a chapter of Jay Leno's career to a close. The country superstar will be the final musical guest on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." And Leno is capping off his "Tonight Show" run the way he started it. In addition to Garth, the show will feature actor Billy Crystal -- Jay's first "Tonight Show" guest more than 20 years ago. Thursday's episode will mark the end of Leno's 22-years hosting "The Tonight Show" as well as his second goodbye. After stepping down in May 2009, Leno took the show back from Conan O'Brien in a less-than-graceful return in January 2010. Jay began his run on "The Tonight Show" on May 25th, 1992, succeeding Johnny Carson to become the series' fourth host. Jay is handing the show over to Jimmy Fallon, who'll make his "Tonight Show" hosting debut later this month.
