Kristoff St. John, who played Neil Winters on the soap opera The Young & the Restless for nearly 28 years, was suddenly found dead at the age of 52 in his San Fernando Valley home. TMZ first reported that a friend went to go check up on him and after finding his body, law enforcement was contacted and he was pronounced dead at the scene. It is currently unclear how he passed away but there is no suspicion of foul play and a source believes that alcohol may have contributed.
St. John's role on The Young & the Restless won him numerous awards including 9 Daytime Emmy Awards and 10 NAACP Image Awards.
