Dwayne Haskins Named Redskins' Starting Quarterback

After a rough 1-8 launch of the season, the Washington Redskins are making a change at the quarterback position. Coming out of their BYE week, Interim Head Coach Bill Callahan announced that rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins will be the team's QB1 for the remainder of the year.

So far this year, Haskins has played in three games and has a 61.4 completion percentage, no touchdowns, 4 interceptions and has been sacked 8 times. He's taking over for Case Keenum who has a 67 completion percentage, 12 touchdowns, 4 picks and 12 sacks under his belt. Haskins' first opponent as the starting quarterback will be the 2-7 New York Jets this Sunday at 1PM.

The Redskins' only win this year came in week 6 when they took on the at-the-time (also) winless Miami Dolphins. DC emerged victorious with a 17-16 final score when Miami failed a 2 point conversion with 6 seconds left in regulation.
