Kobe Bryant Filed Trademark For 'Mambacita' Weeks Before Death

Our hearts are still heavy with the passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, and it hasn't gotten easier.

TMZ was the first to break the story that the helicopter they were aboard crashed and killed all of it's passengers and they now have reported that just weeks before the accident, Kobe filed to trademark the nickname that he had for his daughter. "Mambacita" was a nickname that Kobe called Gigi for what she left on the court (and of course we can't help but see it as an ode to his famous "Black Mamba" nickname).

According to the reports, Kobe "obtained the paperwork" on December 30, 2019 and "the plan was to put "Mambacita" on all sorts of sportswear -- shirts, shorts, hats, jerseys, sweatpants, sweatshirts and hoodies."

Kobe was 41-years-old and Gigi was 13-years-old.
