Idris Elba has come forward to reveal that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
In a video posted to his Twitter account, the actor revealed that last Friday he had been exposed to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19 and out of pre-caution, decided to get himself tested and quarantine in case. His results came back today (March 16) affirming that he has contracted the illness. Elba mentions in his caption and in the video that he was and has not displayed any symptoms but is doing OK.
In the remainder of the video, Elba emphasizes that the coronavirus is real and encourages people to continue washing their hands, social distancing and remaining positive through the difficult time.
