21-year-old Carly Boyd wanted to share the news that got engaged over the weekend with her grandfather, but due to the circulating coronavirus she was unable to see him in person. SO what does that mean?! She got creative.
Boyd went to the nursing home where her grandfather is currently residing at and went to his window from the outside where she was able to safely share the news. In an interview with GMA, Boyd said "I point[ed] to my ring and he realized I was engaged!"
"He was so happy he kept asking me, 'When's the wedding?'" Boyd said. "I know he feels a little trapped right now because of all the restrictions. We both said we love each other and it was just a really emotional moment."
