Gov. Hogan Orders Malls To Close, Allows Alcohol To Be Delivered/Picked-Up

In the latest round of closures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan stated in today's press conference that he is ordering that all malls and entertainment venues close by 5PM tonight, March 19.

In addition, Gov. Hogan also stated that restaurants, bars, distilleries and wineries are now permitted to allow the sales of alcohol via the forms of take-out and delivery.

“I am issuing an executive order today allowing for delivery and carry out sale of alcohol by restaurants, bars, distilleries and wineries subject to local liquor laws and local regulations. We’re doing this to help small businesses and restaurants and to protect vulnerable people from having to leave home.”
