Virginia ABC Stores To Modify Hours Due To Coronavirus

Gov. Northam has ordered that only essential stores remain open in Virginia due to the coronavirus pandemic and yes, ABC stores are classified as essential. According to ABC's website "[o]ur operation impacts citizens throughout the commonwealth and many businesses in the hospitality industry. This status means as long as it is safe for our employees and customers, we are to remain open in some fashion."

In an effort to improve the stores' cleaning patterns, they will operate on a new, reduced schedule to allow employees to more time disinfect the environment. Beginning on March 27, ABC stores will be open from 12P through 7P every day of the week.

To reduce time in the stores, customers are encouraged to place orders online at www.abc.virginia.gov.
