Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will not be happening this year thanks to COVID-19.
“While assessing ... Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, we determined that many of its hallmarks – stage shows, parades and fireworks – are unable to take place in this new, unprecedented environment,” Disney said in an announcement on its blog. “With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.”
The Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has become a fan favorite among Disney goers. The Magic Kingdom transforms into a Halloween spectacular after hours for visitors who purchase tickets to the event with a special Boo-To-You parade, trick-or-treating with characters, special meet & greets with Disney villains who don't make appearances during the daytime hours and a spooky firework display.
There has not yet been a decision on the fate of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom for this year, but Epcot's International Food & Wine Festival is still on!
Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will open July 11 while Epcot and Hollywood Studios will re-open their doors on July 15.
