Disney has announced that one of their theme parks' most iconic attractions is getting a makeover.
Splash Mountain in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland is being re-imagined to have a "Princess and the Frog" theme, they announced on June 25. The parks' blog says that the ride will "...pick up this story after the final kiss, and join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance."
A timeline for the project has yet to be determined but "conceptual design work is well underway," which will then allow the Imagineers to begin their processes.
