Maryland's Mask Order Will Be Broadened To Include Outdoor Spaces

Beginning on Friday, July 31, Maryland will extend an order that requires the wearing of a facial covering in outdoor situations where physical distancing is unable to be practiced and public areas of business.

Gov. Larry Hogan made the announcement on Wednesday, Jul 29.

"We find ourselves at a fork at the road," Hogan said before announcing the new order. "A critical turning point where we could either continue making progress and continue heading in the right direction, or we could ignore the warnings and spike back up, like much of the rest of the country. We are making every effort to keep Maryland safely open for business."
