If you were stuck in traffic on the outer loop of I-495 near I-270 this afternoon, it was because a truck containing 20,000 lbs of cheese balls was involved with a crash and tipped over.
That's one of the most 2020 statements we could have typed.
As reported by FOX Baltimore, the State Highway Administration said "At 2:23 pm, there was a crash involving tractor trailer loaded with 20,000 pounds of cheese balls. This was at I-495 OL between MD 355 and MD 187. We have a sand truck there to help clean up the scene. At this time, we have two right lanes closed."
Aside from the cheese balls, no one was injured.
