WJLA has reported that a police officer was shot in Prince George's County after being called to his house in Brandywine for a "home disturbance."
The man's wife tipped off police saying that her husband had shot the officer and then described the vehicle that he took off in so law enforcement could track him down. Following a chase, the suspect has been brought down by police.
The Prince George's County Police Department confirmed that the officer has passed away. Our thoughts go out to his family.
