When Not To Travel Out Of D.C. This Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start to summer for most people...which means plenty of people will be heading out-of-town to celebrate their long weekend.

D.C. traffic is already notorious for constantly being jammed, but AAA is predicting that over 1 million people will be traveling at least 50 miles this weekend. AAA and INRIX (a transportation analytics firm) are predicting that roads are going to be at their worst on Thursday, May 24 from 4:30-7P. AAA is also claiming that "[t]he worst time on the Outer Loop of the Beltway is about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday... [o]n the Inner Loop, the worst time is 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. On I-95 North, avoid driving at 6 p.m. Monday. On I-95 South, avoid driving at 5 p.m. Thursday."

...so what we're getting out of this is to basically stay off the road all weekend and to just chill out by the pool.
