Russell Dickerson Remembers Granger Smith's Late Son On Stage In Maryland

Thomas Rhett's VHS Tour came through Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on Thursday, July 18...but he didn't come alone! TR has his dad, Rhett Akins, Dustin Lynch and Russell Dickerson out on the road for him to open up the show this summer and fans in Maryland may have noticed something very special about the shirt that Dickerson was wearing when he returned to the stage during Rhett's set!

From a distance, you could tell that he was wearing a red t-shirt and a matching (Washington Nationals) hat. But when you look at the graphic, you can tell that Dickerson is wearing The River Smith Tribute Shirt from Yee Yee Apparel. AKA the shirt that Granger Smith and his family had created the honor the legacy of their 3-year-old son, River, who suddenly lost his life in an accidental drowning at the family's home.

In the first two days of the shirt being on-sale, Yee Yee Apparel raised over $50K for the Dell Childrens Medical Center where River was treated following his accident. The shirt is currently out-of-stock, but the company says they intend on revealing another rendition this fall!
