Passengers from American Airlines Flight 2354 from Los Angeles to Dallas-Fort Worth were ready to take on a very long night after their plane got diverted to Wichita Falls regional airport due to severe thunderstorms.
159 passengers were frustrated and upset until the captain and staff on their airplane eased the inconvenience with pizzas. Jeff Raines, the plane's captain, called a local Papa John's and got 40 fresh pizzas delivered to them at the airport. Video shows the captain running back and forth between the delivery car and stranded passengers to personally deliver the pizzas.
@AmericanAir The Captain of Flight 2354 bought pizza for everybody who was stuck in Wichita Falls Regional airport after a weather diversion. I don’t think I’ve seen this before. pic.twitter.com/sLmo76ckUB— Josh Raines (@J_reigns2) September 7, 2018
We don't know about you, but if we were delivered fresh pizza after a long travel day... we'd certainly be appeased.
Way to go Captain Raines and all of the staff on this airplane!
