Even her wedding day didn't give Julie Stroyne a chance to completely relax. Stroyne, a trauma nurse in Pittsburgh, had just wed her husband Andrew Nixon a few hours earlier, and as the couple left their reception to check into the hotel they heard someone calling out for help.
"We were just about to go through the doors, and we hear somebody scream, 'Does anybody know CPR? Is anybody a doctor?'" she told KDKA-TV.
The couple rushed toward a bench, where they found a woman unconscious. Someone stated the woman had no pulse, so still in her wedding dress Stroyne began applying compressions. While the woman's breathing improved, Stroyne stayed with her until paramedics arrived.
