Just back from Nashville and Country Radio Seminar, I was privileged to hear so many great performances from virtually every Country artist working these days. You can catch the highlights and most of what I enjoyed before my battery died on my phone, over the past 5 days if you follow @michaeljonair on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter.
I want to share one particular performance that I'll never forget and I'm sure everyone else who was in the Ryman Auditorium for the Universal Music Group showcase with remember too. Superstar Vince Gill came out on stage and shared a story of being pursued by his gym teacher in 7th grade.
"A young dumb kid, I had a gym teacher who acted inappropriately towards me and was trying to do things that I didn't know what the hell was going on and I was just fortunate that I got up and I ran. I just jumped up and I ran. I don't think I told anybody my whole life," Vince told us.
Vince went on to say that with the #MeToo movement, he felt like it was time to tell AND sing this special song. Standing Ovation followed for Vince.
