Adam Levine and his group Maroon 5 have been on the fence on whether or not to accept the offer to perform during the Super Bowl halftime show. As controversy swirls they have not directly addressed questions, even as many called for them to boycott the Halftime Show as an act of solidarity with the protesters. However, Maroon 5 did announce a $500,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in partnership with the NFL. It was later revealed that the band’s co-performer, Travis Scott, made the charitable donation a requirement for his appearance in the show.
