While I'm not into most of the music that was performed, I did watch the One Love Manchester benefit yesterday. I did it because it was the right thing to do. Because I refuse to allow people to ruin music, specifically for children. And that's who the target was.
If you didn't know about it, One Love Manchester brought together stars including Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Marcus Mumford, Take That and more. It was held almost two weeks after the Manchester bombing, to remember the 22 people killed.
And when it actually happened, I was shocked. "It" being Liam Gallagher performing.
I actually didn't expect him to be there once Chris and Ariana performed "Don't Look Back In Anger." The former Oasis singer made a surprise appearance doing a few songs, most notably "Live Forever" with Coldplay's Chris Martin.
And to my delight, Liam Gallagher was fantastic. There were so few performances I truly wanted to see and while Chris Martin is always incredible, the highlight really was Liam. He didn't crack even one smile, proving he is still a sour pickle. But I don't care. He is a talented pickle.
