Two Inclined Infant Sleeper Recalled For Precautionary Safety

The federal Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall on the Eddie Bauer Slumber and Soothe Bassinet (model #BT055CSY) as well as the Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinet (model #BT071DHS) as a precaution because infant deaths have been reported and associated with products of the same structure. According to WBAL, "In April, 4.7 million Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play Sleepers were recalled after the Consumer Product Safety Commission linked 30 infant deaths to the sleepers over a decade."

The issue arose because the design of the sleep permitted children to transition from their back to either their side or their stomach.

"Consumers should immediately stop using the inclined sleepers and contact Dorel for a refund in the form of a $60 voucher," was the provided remedy on the recall.
