Newcomer Jonah Hauer-King Cast As Prince Eric In "The Little Mermaid"

We finally have our Prince Eric for the highly anticipated live-action version of "The Little Mermaid"!

While the original stir was all about Harry Styles being cast as the famous Disney prince, he ultimately denied that he would be playing the role and it now belongs to newcomer Jonah Hauer-King. Entertainment Weekly was among the first to reveal that the 24-year-old London based actor would be part of our world playing the male lead to Halle Bailey as Ariel. While Hauer-King is not necessarily an American house-hold name, he does have film credits. He was recently featured in A Dog's Way Home & the BBC mini-series World On Fire.

Hauer-King will be joining the likes of Melissa McMurray, Javier Bardem, Jacob Tremblay, Daveed Diggs and Awkwafina on set of The Little Mermaid, who are playing Ursula, King Triton, Flounder, Sebastian and Scuttle respectively.
