Fans Upset That Luke Perry Was Not Included In Oscars' Memorium

During the Oscars' memoriam section of last night's show, fans were upset to see that Luke Perry was not included in the four-minute montage remembering those who have passed since the 2019 show.

Perry died following a stroke last March and was a notable part of the television and film community. While he was most well-known for his roles as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills: 90210 and Fred Andrews on Riverdale, his last feature performance was the role of actor Wayne Maunder in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which was nominated for 10 Academy Awards this year including Best Picture.

"Disappointed," "disrespectful," and "appalling" were some of the words that fans used to describe their feelings towards Perry being left out of the segment. In addition to Perry, users were also upset that 20-year-old Cameron Boyce was not included as well. Boyce passed away in his sleep due to "an ongoing medical condition" that was later confirmed as epilepsy in July 2019. Boyce was most known for his roles in Disney's Jessie and Descendants series.
