All Maryland Public Schools To Close For 2 Weeks Amid Coronavirus Scare

Gov. Larry Hogan announced during his press conference on March 12 that from March 16-27, all Maryland public schools will be closed to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.

In addition, he has also "directed the Maryland Emergency Management Agency to move to its highest activation level" and "enacted an executive order to activate the National Guard" among other things.

According to reporting from WJLA, "Maryland hospitals have started setting up triage tents to prepare for a potential increase in patients."

This news comes after it was revealed that Maryland's first community-spread COVID-19 case was detected.
