D.C.'s Mayor Muriel Bowser hosted a press conference on March 16 ordering that all restaurants and bars close off indoor seating options to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and that gyms, massage parlors, spas and theaters will also have to shut down at 10PM tonight. Patrons will still be able to order take-out and delivery however. This announcement comes just one day after she ordered that restaurants remove the option of bar seating, spread tables 6-ft apart and that parties be no larger than 6 people.
Earlier today, Gov. Larry Hogan made the same enforcement that restaurants, bars, movie theaters and gyms close their doors (effective at 5PM today).
