Maryland to Lift Most Restrictions this Weekend

Gov. Larry Hogan announced today that "every business in Maryland will be able to open at 100% with no restrictions," during a press conference, referencing indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment/sports venues.

The only mandate that will remain in tact is wearing a mask while indoors. He shared that his timeline for lifting that restriction is when 70% of adults in Maryland have had at least 1 dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and the state is currently just 4.6% away from meeting that goal.

"President Biden set the goal of trying to get things back to normal by the 4th of July," Hogan said. "Here in Maryland, our plan is to get everything back to normal by Memorial Day."
