Reba McEntire and Rex Linn are mourning the loss of their dog, Riddler (who also went by other nicknames like Budders and Budski). The country star wrote a heartbreaking tribute and a few black-and-white photos on her social media channels on Friday afternoon (November 18), including one of her and Linn walking Riddler.
“If we’re really lucky, an Angel will place something in our laps that will affect us for a lifetime…and we got really lucky,” McEntire shared, introducing her “‘Angel delivered’ life companion.” The post from McEntire and Linn went on, sharing that they said their goodbyes to Riddler on Wednesday (November 16). “Only seven years old, lymphoma took his life less than three weeks after diagnosis. He was a GRAND CHAMPION in the Show Ring, but a grander one in life. He impacted everyone that came across his path. He was a good man to ride the river with, the Best. - Rex & Reba.”
Fans and social media users were quick to offer their condolences as McEntire and Linn shared the news, including, “I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss 😢💔 it's the only time our furry babies break our hearts. Sending love and comfort ❤️,” “I’m so sorry. Sending hugs and prayers to you both. He had a wonderful life and was loved . ❤️🙏🐾🌈,” and “So sorry for your loss 😢,” among others.
