Reported Bomb Threats to 2 Montgomery County Highscools October 23rd

On Monday, two Montgomery County high schools, Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring and Rockville High School in Rockville, underwent evacuations due to reported bomb threats, as per the Montgomery police. While similar threats supposedly aimed at Blair and other schools have been received by the police in recent weeks, a police spokeswoman emphasized that none of these threats have been deemed credible.

At approximately 11 a.m., Montgomery Blair High School initiated a shelter-in-place protocol, and subsequently, students were instructed to exit the premises to facilitate a thorough search for potential explosives by law enforcement. This is the 3rd bomb threat made on Montgomery Blair High School in 3 weeks. The latest bomb threat to Blair Highschool has been determined to be unfounded.

Around noon, the authorities announced an ongoing investigation into a bomb threat at Rockville High School. Through social media, they conveyed that students, faculty, and staff had evacuated the building, while officers were actively assessing the credibility of the reported threat.
