This is freaky!
Can you imagine being on a ride and it malfunctioning?! Fortunately this happened before the ride took off. If it happened with them in the air, this story would have ended much differently.
Kirssy Hurst was filming a friend and his brother-in-law on the slingshot ride at the Cobra Adventure Park in Panama City Beach. Just moments before the ride was about to launch, one of the bungees snapped and shredded. You see the employee taking off running in the other direction while the two men just sit there trapped.
Hurst reportedly told FOX 13 that the park gave her friends a refund, but weren't overly apologetic. I don't know about you, but that wouldn't cut it for me. Accidents do happen but for a cable to snap like that? Wonder when the last inspection was done on this particular ride....
