Clerks filmmaker Kevin Smith revealed early Monday that he nearly died this weekend after suffering a heart attack. "After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack," the 47-year-old Smith tweeted about his back-to-back standup performances on Sunday night in Glendale, California. "The doctor who saved my life told me I had 100 percent blockage of my LAD artery (a.k.a. 'the Widow-Maker'). If I hadn't canceled show #2 to go to the hospital, I would've died tonight. But for now, I'm still above ground!" Smith added a selfie that appears to show him lying in a hospital bed with wires taped to his chest.
