The strenuous work to repair the BW Parkway continues this weekend.
After temporarily closing down sections last weekend, the National Park Service will begin tonight (Friday, March 29) and go through 5AM on Sunday and below are the affected areas and times:
- southbound lanes from Route 198 to 197 will be closed Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday
- northbound lanes from Route 197 to 198 will be closed Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday
If you're wondering if parts of the BW Parkway were closed last weekend for this same reason, you're right. In a report from WTOP, the park service said that "it quickly became clear that they couldn’t wait to get work done. It has been filling potholes every day the weather allowed."
