Luke Combs Breaks 31-Year-Old Record

Luke Combs is on FIRE.

"Beer Never Broke My Heart" was released as his sixth single to country radio and it is now his SIXTH time sitting atop the charts at number one! But that is just a bragging right at this point and not what broke a 31-year-old record previously set by Randy Travis in 1988.

Combs' debut album This One's For You has spent a crazy, beautiful 44 weeks at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, which is officially the longest amount of time that a male country country artist has spent in that spot! The previous record was occupied by Randy Travis' Always & Forever album, which entered the number one slot in June 1987 and spent 43 weeks atop.

This One's For You will have to spend an additional 7 weeks at number one in order to claim the title of the country album that spent the most time in the coveted spot. Right now the only album Combs is trailing is Shania Twain's Come on Over, which led the charts for 50 weeks back in November 1997.
