Another retail giant has bitten the dust.
Bose has announced that they are closing down all 119 retail stores in North America, Europe, Japan and Australia due to their "dramatic shift" to online shopping. This is not all of the physical stores however. According to an email that The Verge received from a Bose spokesperson, 130 storefronts in Greater China and the United Arab Emirates, India, Southeast Asia, and South Korea will survive the shutdown. The message acknowledged that "outplacement assistance and severance" was being offered to employees who lost their jobs, but they would not disclose how many people were affected with this move.
Bose products are still available online and in retail stores such as Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Apple and more.
