MVA To Close All Locations Today

Thanksgiving Car Travel Expected To Reach Highest Levels Since 2005

At 4:30P, all of Maryland's MVA (Motor Vehicle Administration) will close to help prevent spread of the coronavirus.

“We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding as we take appropriate steps to limit the impact of this unprecedented health crisis,” said MDOT MVA Administrator Chrissy Nizer. “Safety is always our top priority at MDOT MVA. Right now, the key to promoting safety is encouraging our customers and employees to stay home.”

These listed self-serve kiosks will still be operational and transactions such as vehicle registration renewals, change of address, insurance compliance payments and information on flag fees can still be completed online at mva.maryland.gov.
