With all of the gyms closed due to quarantine and social distancing becoming more and more enforced, people are resorting to finding creative ways to stay active.
Twitter user @jcampbell0104 went online and said if he got 10,000 retweets, he would run a marathon in his tiny backyard. He described the space to be about 6 meters long, which converts to approx. 19 feet. Well...he got what he wished for and more! His initial tweet has been retweeted 23.4K times so you guessed it...he ran a marathon in his tiny backyard.
Don't believe it? Well, there's proof! @jcampbell0104 set up a live stream and asked viewers to donate to a COVID-19 relief program while he ran over 7,000 laps in his backyard. The marathon took five and a half hours to complete and he raised over $33,000 for NHS Charities Together!
Welp, maybe now do I consider going up and down the stairs for some exercise?
