Walt Disney World is taking the steps towards reopening.
Like most of the country, the Florida parks are taking a phased approach with Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom setting a proposed re-opening date of July 11 while Epcot & Hollywood Studios are targeting July 15.
According to People Magazine, the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force met today, May 27 to review Walt Disney World's plan.
During the initial re-opening phase, the parks will be operating at a reduced capacity where reservations into the park will be required, all guests and employees will be required to wear face coverings, physical distancing will be enforced and plexiglass shields will be installed at registers and other locations where distancing will be difficult. Temperature checks will be administered and character meet and greets, firework displays and parades will be suspended for the time being.
