Restrictions put into place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are being eased in DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced during a press conference on Monday, March 15.
As of next Monday, March 22, outdoor gatherings may go up to 50 people and indoor dining capacities may reach up to 25% or 250 people. Tables must remain 6 feet apart and lingering around the bar is still prohibited. In addition, restaurants may now serve alcohol up until midnight.
Indoor fitness classes may resume with a max capacity of 10 people and outdoor classes may have up 50.
And sports fans may be welcome back to the stands soon! Professional sports may operate pursuant to a waiver with plans for fans also beginning next Monday and DC will re-evaluate capacity limits during the April wellness check-in.
