His wife, Erica, shared this morning (May 3, 2021) that their son Derek Alexander was born yesterday, May 2 at 5:38PM. Derek entered the world weighing 8 lbs 5 oz and measuring 20 in.
Erica made the announcement on social media by sharing a carousel of sweet photos, including Max holding his son! NBC Sports reported that Derek was born less than 2 hours after his dad finished pitching a complete game against the Miami Marlins, which ended in a curly W!
The couple have been together for over 16 years and have two daughters, Brooklyn and Kacey.
